Producing electronic music since 2001 after hearing music albums from The Chemical Brothers , Orbital, Underworld to name but a few from the 90′s…This was all the motivation he needed and his musical tastes have grown and are still growing.

Influences come from a wide range of artists, there are a lot of things good with music at the moment, especially dance and electronic music. “Not a lot of people I know personally dig what I do, but since joining myspace, it’s good to know I’m not alone!” – Vela

Dominic Bodell, has worked with Los Angeles producer, David Eaton, whose productions for unsigned artists (Dynamite Hack “Boyz-N-Tha Hood” and The Polyphonic Spree) have topped radio playlists and lead to major label signings. “He get tons of cd’s from young bands trying to be stars,” producer David Eaton says. “Some people try to write about life. Dominic’s life forces him to write. Thats what makes his music meaningful.”

Dominic also drew great interest from East Coast A&R rep Mickey memphitz wright. He is the former singer/guitarist/songwriter for Rifle Street Music, and this is my new solo project, “This Boys Satellite”. Expect more music on a frequent basis.

Blood Ruby – Female-Fronted Atmospheric Alternative Music

Blood Ruby creates atmospheric alternative music somewhere in the vein of dream pop, ethereal, and neoprogressive rock. The band’s two subtly emotive female vocalists ply a range that spans from lyrical, sweet mezzo, Shoegaze, Psychedelic, Gothic all the way to to smoky, jazz-rooted alto, delivering haunting melodies and crafted lyrics full of evocative imagery and cinematic storytelling. Spacious mixing and production lend prismatic detail to the music’s lush instrumentation.

The result is a textured, layered sound that takes listeners on an ambient, often dark, and sometimes epic journey through drifting landscapes of emotion, strange places, and complex characters.

Blood Ruby is currently working in the studio on their first full-length CD, Little Creatures. In the meantime, the band has released two digital EPs, both available free for download and sharing under a Creative Commons license.
