Midnight Club: Los Angeles Problems

UPDATE : They were offering me $22 to trade it in, when they shouldn’t be selling in my opinion defective. If I had the money and time to spare I would be seeing a lawyer, a class action Lawsuit against Rockstar Games?? :(

OK this post begins from an earlier posted review, actually two I had did at gamestop.com and really wasn’t sure it would be posted. Well feeling obligated to “let it be known” the issues and the frustration I’m having with this game, that I now regrettably purchased. Now you know why people download before buying anything now a days because were inundated with crap. $55 plus some tax for this piece of crap that amounts to poor coding and thinking on the parts of the developers. I’m not sure if they created a game that the Xbox 360′s graphics processor can’t actually keep up with or the coding just sucks, either way it lacks real value . But back to the point of this quick post, since  you never know what moderators deem worthy enough to allow, I figured I would post my own review here, and use the power of key words and Google to get my review out. The power of the internet, is now mightier then thy pen and my sword :)

I also found some video confirming my findings on the graphics that are so slow they just don’t load :(

REVIEW TO GAMESTOP.COM

I have earlier posted a review discussing the game, after confirming it was the coding and the graphics processor I would imagine you can understand where the frustration with this game stems from. this game lacks value and is way over priced. I bought this on January 11th for $55 used , within a week of just playing it casually an hour here an hour here, I started winning races, completing more challenges, blah, blah starting to get into it and it gets to a point where the graphics just do not load, and it seemed only as I just got into the game maybe 10%  and in certain areas of the city it’s a mess. Images and vectors don’t load as fast as they need to for the game to display in real time let’s put it that way :(    A serious flaw when you have a 360 on an HD TV and the images just go flat and cars and objects are not visible until after you smacked in to them because there is a failure on the part of the developers to make a game that actually works the way it should with the defualt hardware sold in consoles. You don’t have to take my word for it, there’s another review from Gametrailers with actual video. I didn’t want to break the rules and post a URL but you can check out the video there, I just Googled “midnight club LA problems” and it was in top video results

La Chansons :)

I don’t know what it was, I had a friend request again today on MySpace that made my day…..
LA CHANSONS….

I get the request, bounce over to their page, hear a few tracks in their player, and I get a big smile on my face. Some really fun tracks. At first I’m like the first song reminded me of an Olivia Newton Johns “Let’s get physical” but fun and playful and a little poppy and modern and so I continued and the next track “Sparkling new” again took me right back to the 80′s but modern and fun. I continued, read their blog, find the video to go with “Workout love”, and just smiled.  Check it out below, if your a fan of the 80′s pop you can’t help but smile and feel young when you hear their music.

I also included a track I found on their official website that blew me away

Brite lite Brite – I am waiting (LA Chansons mix)

Blu-ray is doomed

In the past, I’ve always felt that Blu-ray would win the high-def format war. After that, I wasn’t necessarily sure what the future would hold for the format. Would it be the success DVD was? Would it flop worse than LaserDisc? Would it cater to a slightly more advanced crowd but never reach the mainstream? Would it be a downright loser?

Study: People like to die in video games

When playing, both killing and being killed consistently triggered emotional responses. The big surprise came in the measurements of facial muscles: ‘instead of joy resulting from victory and success, wounding and killing the opponent elicited anxiety, anger, or both.” In contrast, the subjects appeared to respond positively to being killed.

G U S T E R – Satellite (Music from the movie Martian Child)

I just got done watching the movie Martian Child for the second time in just 2 days. My son just loves this movie. And why not. Great actors such as John Cusack, Amanda Peet, and Joan Cusack. Also staring as Dennis aka the Martian Child (Bobby Coleman). They all make this a remarkable film, and even more so a great family film, I highly advise checking this movie out as well as some of the cool new music from GUSTER which couldn’t have been missed, it plays through the most unforgettable moment when David and the Martian Child Dennis begin to bond. ~Peilo

Guster

Questions often asked of Them:

Q: Do you guys have any pre-show rituals?

A: Yes.

Q: How do you guys write your songs?

A: We write about what we know. We’re stenographers…we transcribe life and put a little melody under it.*

Q: Are you guys a Christian band?

A:Rather than answer this one with a simple yes/no, we suggest you check the following sources for clues: 1) Brian’s last name — “Rosenworcel.” 2) Any photo of Ryan where you can see his profile. 3) The Guster Backstage Contract Rider, where we stipify that “the dressing room must be furnished with plenty of borscht, noodle kugels, potato latkes, gefilte fish and homemade rugulah for dessert.”

Q: do you guys name your instruments?

A: yes
